The United States-based Citgo Petroleum Corporation (often known as Citgo or CITGO) is a refiner, transporter, and marketer of petrochemicals, transportation fuels, lubricants, and other industrial goods. It is majority owned by PDVSA, a state-owned business of the Venezuelan government, and has its headquarters in Houston’s Energy Corridor (although due to U.S. sanctions, in 2019, they no longer economically benefit from Citgo).
